About the RoleThis role is crucial for driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction. As a Strategic Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing your daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
Your Key Responsibilities- Service existing accounts and establish new ones
- Partner with customers to such an extent that you are immersed in their operations, becoming an expert in their needs and processes
- Develop market penetration strategies
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques
- Drive new program ideas
- Coordinate and collaborate with other businesses, functions, and global teams to plan and execute account strategies
- Execute account plans to ensure the achievement of assigned business goals within key accounts and/or markets
- Collaborate on proposals
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of successful sales management experience within the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or Warehousing & Automation (W&A) industry, showcasing your ability to understand and address the unique challenges and opportunities within this field.
You should have a proven track record in identifying, negotiating, and closing profitable deals that minimize exposure to risk. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills, enabling you to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
