Payroll Administrator

Black & McDonald's Accounting & Finance team is expanding its capabilities. We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering high-quality results, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities- Process hourly unionized payroll under the direction of the Payroll Manager, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with unions to interpret and update wage schedules, burden tables, and monthly union reconciliation.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise information.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual returns for provincial items, including WSIB/WCB, EHT, and T4, RL1, T2200.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintaining focus and composure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing.
- Ability to maximize business performance and team effectiveness.
- Completed PCP designation with NPI.
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll, preferably in a unionized construction environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and JD Edwards or ERP systems.
- Ability to work well in a deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities.
