We are seeking an experienced Administrative and Financial Director to join our team at the Government of Canada - Western. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, administration, and leadership.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating resources, establishing financial and administrative controls, and formulating policies and programs.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Prepare, present, and manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and optimal financial performance.
  • Administrative Oversight: Establish and maintain effective administrative controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Policy Development: Formulate and approve policies and programs that align with the organization's objectives and goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, finance).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a government or public sector organization.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
