Job Summary

CN360 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Enterprise Risk Management to lead our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiative globally. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing insights to our management on risks and their potential impacts on our activities and strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement our ERM framework in alignment with our overall business objectives.
  2. Collaborate with function leaders and executives for risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
  3. Influence stakeholders to include ERM as a key consideration in growth strategies to align Risk, Strategy, and Performance.
  4. Lead comprehensive risk assessments and analysis to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities across all areas of our organization.
  5. Utilize qualitative and quantitative methods to work with our teams to evaluate the impact and likelihood of risks.
  6. Design effective risk mitigation strategies, including the development of action plans with our business units.
  7. Design, prepare, and present risk reports and dashboards to senior management and our Board of Directors.
  8. Communicate risk-related information clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  9. Collaborate with departments to ensure risk management practices are integrated in their operational processes and decision-making.
  10. Assist in providing support, advice, and direction to our Board of Directors and to our leadership team.
  11. Influence key internal stakeholders to prioritize risk mitigation plans to create value and to enhance the resiliency of our business model.
  12. Develop communication tools to raise awareness and understanding of risk management principles and practices among our employees.
  13. Foster a risk-aware culture throughout our organization.
  14. Connect with key internal and external stakeholders to monitor the evolution of the risk environment, including all trends related to emerging risks.
  15. Ensure best-in-class practices are monitored and implemented.
Requirements Experience
  1. Between 10 to 15 years of risk management or related experience.
  2. Proven experience in risk management, with a track record of successful risk management implementation in a complex organization.
  3. Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  4. In-depth experience in embedding ERM in organizational culture and linking it to financial performance.
  5. Experience in initiating and leading cross-functional internal and external partnerships and collaborations.
  6. Experience in the rail industry or transportation sector (any experience in these areas would be considered an asset).
Education/Certification/Designation
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Master's Degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA or Certified Risk Manager (CRM)) (any education in these areas would be considered an asset).
