About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team at MAHI ONTARIO INC. as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Kitchen Operations: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, inspect kitchens and food service areas, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, overtime required, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and work under pressure.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail.
