Role Overview:

This position involves assisting project managers with the development and management of projects, including scope, schedule, budget, technical resources, health and safety, and support for junior staff.

The successful candidate will be required to conduct hazardous building materials assessments, mould and indoor air quality investigations, develop specifications, authorise reports, and create asbestos management plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hazardous building material assessments (asbestos, lead, mould, etc.);
  • Manage hazardous building material abatement projects (asbestos, lead, mould, etc.);
  • Conduct mould investigations and basic indoor air quality assessments;
  • Manage field notes; prepare technical reports;
  • Develop an understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis and of client businesses to enable personal performance improvement and career development.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience conducting hazardous building material surveys, preferably in BC;
  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Building Sciences, Engineering, Architecture, or Occupational Health and Safety;
  • Level S Asbestos Survey Training, WorkSafeBC;
  • Able and willing to travel to sites for extended periods;
  • Physical requirement: ability to lift 30 pounds;
  • Valid Driver's License.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
