Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across long distances.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations to ensure efficient transportation.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Cargo Management: Load and unload goods, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Long-haul transportation experience, with a valid driver's license (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Qualities: Organized, willing to travel for extended periods, and willing to work overnight.
