Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

IGS Trucking LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, working as part of a two-person team or convoy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring safe and efficient handling
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Oversee condition of vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient communication
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of long-haul trucking
