At Alberta Innovates, we are seeking a Health Platforms Strategic Advisor to join our team in Edmonton. This is a full-time permanent role that offers a competitive salary of approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum.

Job Description

The Health Platforms Strategic Advisor will assist the Executive Director, Health Platforms in organizing, planning, and facilitating the intake for multiple programs (i.e. AbSPORU, ACRC, IDEATE, ARECCI) and be the knowledge expert involved in development and training of the clinical research management system (i.e. EDGE). The individual will also participate in the development of common processes, tools, and guidance documents, and a seamless exchange of information that meet the needs of stakeholders with the aim of creating an effective research and innovation ecosystem.

  • Liaises and communicates with key stakeholder groups and networks within and outside the province to promote awareness and understanding of Health Platforms.
  • Monitors and reports activities related to the development and implementation of the programs to ensure timely and effective launch.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in health services administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in clinical health research, public health, health promotion, and/or health system and innovation in Alberta; understanding of regulations preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, senior leaders, and external partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker and results-oriented; ability to identify innovative solutions to complex issues.
