Job Title: Business Partner, Health Platforms

Alberta Innovates is seeking a highly skilled Business Partner, Health Platforms to join our team. As a key member of our Health Platforms team, you will play a critical role in organizing, planning, and facilitating the intake for multiple programs, including AbSPORU, ACRC, IDEATE, and ARECCI. You will also be responsible for developing and training the clinical research management system, EDGE, and participating in the development of common processes, tools, and guidance documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, Health Platforms to lead and manage processes to design, plan, and develop programs within Health Platforms.
  • Liaise and communicate with key stakeholder groups and networks to promote awareness and understanding of Health Platforms.
  • Monitor and report activities related to the development and implementation of programs to ensure timely and effective launch.
  • Manage the intake of all health platform programs, ensuring appropriateness of requests and referring and triaging individuals across programs.
  • Act as the EDGE Knowledge User (SME) for the province, supporting ongoing training, compliance with SOPs, and liaising with EDGE-UK.
  • Build custom fields and forms in EDGE to assist in the management and reporting of projects.
  • Represent Health Platforms CRM, ensuring communication and consistency between CRM and EDGE.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in health services administration, business administration, public health, nursing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in clinical health research, public health, health promotion, and/or health system and innovation in Alberta; understanding of regulations preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in working at the interfaces between research and related areas (academic, healthcare, policy sectors, and industry).
  • Experience managing external stakeholders and clients to co-develop and co-deliver opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, senior leaders, and external partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Tactful, diplomatic, and persuasive.
  • Strategic thinker and results-oriented.
