Business Partner, Health Platforms Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Partner, Health Platforms to join our team at Alberta Innovates. As a key member of our Health Platforms team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Executive Director, Health Platforms in organizing, planning, and facilitating the intake for multiple programs, including AbSPORU, ACRC, IDEATE, and ARECCI.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Executive Director, Health Platforms to design, plan, and develop programs within Health Platforms, taking into account advice and direction from Health management and the Initiative's senior leadership group.
- Liaise and communicate with key stakeholder groups and networks within and outside the province to promote awareness and understanding of Health Platforms and encourage relevant knowledge exchange for the benefit of the programs.
- Monitor and report activities related to the development and implementation of the programs to ensure timely and effective launch.
- Manage the intake of all health platform programs, ensuring appropriateness of requests and referring and triaging individuals across the programs.
- Act as the EDGE Knowledge user (SME) for the province, supporting ongoing training, compliance with SOPs, and liaising with EDGE-UK monthly and nationally on a quarter basis.
- Build custom fields/forms in EDGE to assist in the management and reporting of projects.
- Ensure communication/consistency between the two systems: CRM and EDGE.
- Support AbSPORU and other programs as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in health services administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in clinical health research, public health, health promotion, and/or health system and innovation in Alberta; understanding of regulations preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in working at the interfaces between research and related areas (the academic, healthcare, and policy sectors as well as industry).
- Experience managing external stakeholders and clients to co-develop and co-deliver opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, senior leaders, and external partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail that reflects ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks, competing agendas, and heavy client demands.
- Tactful, diplomatic, and persuasive.
- Strategic thinker and results-oriented; ability to identify innovative solutions to complex issues.
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Project management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
