Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Director, Internal Audit to lead our Canadian organization in providing independent insights and assurance over its highest risks.

The successful candidate will partner with senior business leaders to deliver a portfolio of audits, focusing on effective stakeholder management, internal audit methodology, and strategic advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Internal Audit Professionals to deliver high-quality audits, leveraging data analytics and visualization to report results and craft compelling messages.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to identify key risks, develop audit plans, and evaluate the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of governance, risk management, and controls.
  • Drive delivery of engagements in the portfolio, prioritizing tasks, and facilitating root cause analysis to craft pragmatic recommendations.
  • Apply deep knowledge of internal audit methodology to ensure adherence to guidance and quality standards.
  • Act as an independent strategic advisor to the business, mitigating risk and providing independent insight to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is considered an asset.
  • Practical data analytics and visualization experience, including embedding data analytics in our way of working and leveraging data to report on results.
About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Assistant-Vice-President. The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
