Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Operations Manager to join our team at Oliver & Bonacini Events. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation of food, beverages, and equipment to event locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and schedule a team of catering drivers to ensure efficient operations.
  • Logistics Coordination: Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods to event locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, including regular inspections and addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all deliveries meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all drivers adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Training: Train new drivers on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of vehicles, driver performance, and internal delivery and vehicle requests.
Qualifications
  • Valid G Class License: A clean driving record is essential for this role.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role within catering or logistics is preferred.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills are required.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Additional Qualifications: Completion of Food Handling and Alcohol Service training is an asset.
Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods. Personal protective equipment may be required.
