Catering Supervisor Job Description

At Marcello's Market & Deli, we are seeking a skilled Catering Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to meet the needs of our catering services.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food for our catering events.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management decisions.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure seamless execution of catering events.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing for catering events.
  • Motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with a 37.5 hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
