Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team at Empire Paving Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions, adjusting equipment and replacing defective parts as needed.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and servicing attachments and working tools.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics and heavy equipment repair.
  • Permanent employment, with a 35-hour workweek and opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
