We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team at Empire Paving Limited. As a Diesel Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a variety of locations.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads
