Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team at Empire Paving Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and handling heavy loads. You must have excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours per week
