About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at JERUSAN LOGISTICS INC. as a Diesel Engines Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in mechanical units, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
  • Repair and Maintain Vehicles: Perform repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers, including engine overhauls, transmission replacements, and brake system repairs.
  • Estimate and Manage Costs: Accurately estimate parts and labor costs for repairs and maintenance, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide timely updates on work performed and future requirements.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Complete detailed reports to record problems and work performed, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant trade certifications, such as Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Experience and Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, with expertise in diesel engines, mechanical systems, and diagnostic techniques.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with manual dexterity, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
