Job Title: Technical Sales Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Representative to join our team at AppleOne. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, generating sales leads, and promoting our core products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and send quotes to customers and Sales Representatives
  • Use ERP System to make Part Numbers, create BOMs, Route orders
  • Review customer RFQ and provide them with optimum solution while understanding the application
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers on their enquiries and understanding about the composition of the product
  • Follow up regularly with customer on submitted quote and tracking the same until it gets converted into orders
  • Investigate and receive quotes from Vendors on materials to build custom fabricated conveyor belts
  • Generate report on quotes processed
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, able to understand technical drawings and measurement units both imperial and metric
  • Focused on selling and promotion of core products
  • Coordinate technical liaison services between management, production department, sales department, and Affiliates / Customers with newly developed techniques or practices in utilizing company products
  • Coordinate technical liaison services to inform Affiliates / Customers of new types, specifications, and end uses of products
  • Confer with Production and QC to assist in specific classification of products from quality assurance position and manufacturing, and to discuss new specifications required by customers
  • Assist QC with investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining customer records
  • Keep and maintain customer contacts
  • Develop and maintain technical product or service knowledge to explain features to clients and answer questions about goods or services
  • Responsible for creating invoices for all customers once shipped
  • Receive and process order requests from customers via phone and e-mail. Follows up on orders to ensure that delivery dates are within customer driven criteria
  • Customer Support communication via phone/ email regarding Purchase Orders/ Invoicing (pricing, general inquiries)
  • Maximize customer experience by efficiently managing the processing of customer orders, confirmation of product availability, and ship dates
  • Process order requests with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support customers with order inquiries and work with other departments to ensure accurate and timely response
  • Maintain company customer files, maintenance of Accounts Receivable invoices/ Quotes and records
  • Follows KPI for performance tracking
  • Other duties as warranted

Qualifications:

  • OSSD or equivalency
  • Sales Certificate or equivalent experience, an asset
  • 1-3 years of industry experience in a Manufacturing environment, an asset
  • 2-5 years' experience in Technical Inside Sales
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, an asset
  • Effective use of technology, instruments, tools and information systems
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, teamwork, time management and interpersonal skills
