About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Director to join our team at Taggart Group of Companies.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets;
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards;
  • Maintain open communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and team members;
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements;
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic business initiatives;
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the ICI sector;
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
  • Strong understanding of construction law, building codes, and industry standards;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook;
  • Gold Seal Certification or equivalent is considered an asset;
