As a Business Development Representative with Ambient, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and building strong relationships with customers, contractors, and engineering firms in the Pacific Northwest.

About the Job

This outside sales engineer position is responsible for driving annual sales growth in the Northwest and securing long-term business development. You will identify and develop opportunities with new and existing customers by leveraging your HVAC product knowledge and applications expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with customers, contractors, and engineering firms
  • Build strong relationships with customers and partners through effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on system design, product selection, and specification writing
  • Manage projects from the design phase through commissioning, ensuring quality at every stage
  • Maintain high standards of customer support, from initial consultation to order fulfillment and beyond
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (preferred) or equivalent industry experience
  • At least 3 years of direct selling, marketing, or designing HVAC products to mechanical contractors or design engineers
  • Proven track record in business development and relationship management within the HVAC industry
  • Strong sales and marketing abilities to strategically present HVAC solutions
  • In-depth technical knowledge of HVAC products and their applications
