Job Title: Broadcast & Event AV Operator

Job Summary:

The Broadcast & Event AV Operator will be responsible for supporting the operation and technical activities for all live events, webcasts, and other meetings held in the RBC's Waterpark Auditorium and RBC's Plaza event locations. This is a highly specialized role that requires an exceptional understanding of Audio Visual and broadcast equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day operations of audio/visual/lighting equipment, including live, multi-camera technical direction, multi-camera switching on Newtek Tricaster, remote camera control, and more.
  • Operate and maintain audio/visual equipment, including webcasting/videoconferencing setup and broadcast, edit, compress, export, and transfer video files.
  • Route AV signals via Crestron and Blackmagic video system, and operate remote lighting controls before and during live events/webcasts.
  • Provide technical support for audio mixer setup and operation, and troubleshoot technical problems.
Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge and capabilities in all aspects of audio/video technical direction and operation of broadcast technology, including live event and webcasting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior-level executives.
  • Able to work well independently or part of a team, with flexible hours including afternoon and occasional weekend shifts.
  • Ability to learn new technical information quickly and work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Word, Excel).
