Job Description

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Broadcast Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the operation and technical activities for all live events, webcasts, and other meetings held in RBC's Waterpark Auditorium and Plaza event locations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day operations of audio/visual/lighting equipment, including:
  • Live, multi-camera technical direction
  • Multi-camera switching on Newtek Tricaster
  • Remote camera control, maintaining Iris, focus, and color balance
  • Import/export video files in various formats and resolutions
  • Webcasting/videoconferencing setup and broadcast
  • Edit, compress, export, transfer completed video files
  • Route AV signals via Crestron and Blackmagic video system
  • Custom lighting setup for various event/webcasting scenarios
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge & capabilities in all aspects of audio/video technical direction and operation of broadcast technology, including live event and webcasting
  • An excellent understanding of all equipment to accurately assess, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to effectively communicate with senior-level executives
  • Able to work well independently or part of a team
  • Able to work flexible hours, including afternoon and occasional weekend shifts
  • Ability to learn new technical information quickly and work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
