The Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio/Video Specialist to join our team at the View Boston Observatory. As a key member of our AV team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure AV equipment, including wiring, cabling, and other components.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment and systems to ensure they operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Test and conduct quality assurance checks to ensure AV equipment and systems meet established standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Document all installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and other relevant data.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of relevant AV technology installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with Dante, Q-Sys, Christie Mystique, Medialon, Sense, or similar systems preferred.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of AV systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
