Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our team at Bunge, a world leader in sourcing, processing, and supplying oilseed and grain products and ingredients. As a Production Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our canola oil and meal production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Monitoring and Control: Continuously monitor and control all department processes through frequent visual inspections and HMI screens, ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment and processes.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain knowledge of all departmental safety standards, policies, and procedures, and promote, encourage, and enforce safety compliance among all personnel.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all required samples are collected and properly labeled, and support the activities of personnel during shutdowns to ensure that equipment is properly isolated, locked, and tagged, and safe to work on.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Support maintenance personnel with repairs, and assist with routine equipment PMs and housekeeping tasks.
  • Operational Decision-Making: Make operational decisions that minimize operating the plant at reduced rate and reduce the potential for unscheduled operational downtime, in conjunction with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Communication: Communicate to Production Supervisors any problems that could have a detrimental effect on safety, production, product quality, and equipment life.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12 education required.
  • Certification: 4th Class Power Engineering Certification or higher required.
  • Experience: Ability to work days and nights, with shift schedules subject to change as required by the business.
  • Skills: Possess a thorough knowledge of all equipment and processes used for the production of canola oil and meal, and display the ability to control these processes in a safe and efficient manner.
