About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Backcountry Brewing. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning and food quality control
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Standing for extended periods and walking
