Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Indigenous Wellness Navigator to join our team at Wood's Homes. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff and clients to provide culturally responsive services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate quality cultural practices that are safe, developmentally appropriate, clinically relevant, and culturally sensitive.
  • Exercise sound judgment when sharing cultural practices and ensure they align with the therapeutic goals of clients/families/communities.
  • Work collectively with existing program partnerships to enhance cultural engagement.
  • Develop and maintain a network of resources for families, communities, and other involved professionals.
  • Liaise between families, schools, communities, and other professionals to improve family autonomy.
Requirements
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or related field, plus minimum two years' experience.
  • Extensive Indigenous cultural and ceremonial practice knowledge may be considered in lieu of post-secondary educational requirements.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Criminal Record Check and Intervention Record Check required upon hire.
Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on qualifications and location.
