Youth and Family Therapy Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth and Family Therapy Specialist to join our team at Wood's Homes.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social sciences, human services, or a related field, with experience working with children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities or complex needs.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a structured setting fostering personal and social functioning for each client.
Your key responsibilities will include participating in supervisory and team meetings, conducting therapeutic activities, and attending case conferences and consultations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Social Sciences, Human Services, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Community Rehabilitation, Disability Studies, Addictions, or a related field.
- Experience working with children, youth and/or adults with developmental disabilities or complex needs.
- Minimum two years of related experience in working with young people or youth transitioning into adulthood and adults in a residential setting.
- Knowledge about local indigenous history, culture and issues (would be an asset).
Benefits:
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on your experience.
