Mental Health Crisis Counsellor Position at Woods Homes

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Crisis Counsellor I to join our ECMHS program on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and developing treatment plans related to individuals and families experiencing a crisis. They will also represent Woods Homes to community professionals, the public, and to individuals and families.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Crisis Counsellor will perform duties autonomously, including immediate telephone response and timely mobile visits in the home and/or community. Key responsibilities include ensuring that all persons calling for crisis assistance receive prompt, professional, and effective services. They will also provide emergency face-to-face meetings in the home and/or in the community, facilitate admissions to the Stabilization Program when required, and support other Wood's Homes Programs by offering crises support.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require a Level I undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences or a Level II master's degree in the Social Sciences. Additionally, two to three years of residential/community child and youth care experience and/or crisis work experience is preferable. You must have own transportation and personal suitability. The estimated salary for this position is between $65,000-$85,000 CAD per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
