We're seeking an exceptional Account Director to lead our client relationships and drive long-term growth.
About the RoleThis senior leadership position goes beyond day-to-day execution and strategy, focusing on strategic growth, mentorship, and financial management of client accounts. As an Account Director, you'll report directly to the Associate Director of Strategy and Client Services and be responsible for shaping and executing high-level initiatives, leading a team of Account Supervisors and Account Managers, and fostering senior-level client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Client Ownership: Oversee the management of clients and their respective brands, demonstrating accountability for your work and delegating effectively to balance a demanding workload.
- Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of your clients' businesses, industries, competitors, and market trends, maintaining awareness of relevant developments in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Team Development: Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to Account Managers or Account Supervisors, balancing empowerment with guidance as needed.
- Process Implementation & Improvement: Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to achieve positive ROI for clients while maintaining agency profitability.
We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. You should have 3-5 years of experience as an Account Director or equivalent in a dynamic healthcare/pharmaceutical advertising agency environment. Strong project management skills, self-motivation, and the ability to think strategically are essential.

- A drive to develop range by learning new skills that expand your expertise.
- Familiarity with navigating Canadian Regulatory Bodies like the PAAB and ASC is a plus.
- Certifications in project management or account management (e.g., PMP, AMI) are also desirable.
