About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative mechanical engineering solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of mechanical engineering designs and deliverables for construction projects
  • Manage and supervise a team of mechanical engineers and designers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects
  • Provide high-level technical expertise and guidance to the team on mechanical engineering matters
  • Contribute to the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts and agreements
  • Issue drawings and engineering deliverables for construction projects
  • Motivate and support the performance of engineers and other project team members
Requirements
  • ~25 years of mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry, e.g. mining, mineral processing, materials handling
  • Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently utilizing personal knowledge, external consultants, and in-house experience
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D software, and MS Office
  • Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering
