Job Title: Diesel Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team at Bayview Trucks - New Glasgow. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, power trains, electrical systems, steering systems, electronics, brake systems, and suspension systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services, including inspections and repairs.
  • Identify and document warrantable repairs.
  • Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
  • Complete technical reports from different manufacturers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work in a team environment and present yourself in a professional manner with a positive cooperative attitude.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport or Heavy Equipment Service Technician, minimum Block 3 completion.
  • Ability to lift and move a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Willing and able to continue training.
  • Clean Driver's abstract and Criminal Reference check.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to work in Windows-based software.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Service environment.
