Job Summary

Campbell's Auto Service is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting and repairing or replacing parts and components, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Adjust and Repair or Replace Parts and Components: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Estimate Parts and Labour Cost: Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service: Perform scheduled maintenance service.
  • Advise Customers: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Complete Reports: Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Provide Customer Service: Provide customer service.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification, Tire, wheel and rim mechanic, Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification, Motor Vehicle Repairer (Service Station Mechanic) Trade Certification, HVAC Certificate, Motor Vehicle Inspector Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Apprenticeship Training: Level two apprenticeship training, Level three apprenticeship training, Level four apprenticeship training, Level five apprenticeship training.
  • Area of Specialization: Engine repair, 4-wheel drive, Electrical and electronic system, Diesel engines, Diagnostics, Alignment, steering and suspension, Brake system, Hydraulic system, Fuel and emission system, Ignition and electrical system, Automatic transmission, Standard transmission, Engine repair and overhaul, Drive train components, Welding, Imported vehicles, Front end components, Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system.
