About the Role


As a Human Resources Business Partner at Lockheed Martin Corporation, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's business objectives by providing strategic human capital support. This position is part of the Rotary and Mission Systems business area, where employees across Canada support engineering, systems integration, training, sustainment, and in-service support programs for Canadian and international military customers across land, air, and sea.

Key Responsibilities


The successful candidate will support the Rotary and Mission Systems business unit, including the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) program. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing world-class HR support to clients, including talent management, salary planning, performance management, promotion planning, and rewards & recognition.
  • Collaborating with US and international HR colleagues to deliver a One HR Solution to the Canadian workforce.
  • Partnering with business leaders on strategic human capital initiatives, including data analysis and the development of innovative solutions.
  • Engaging with employees to confidentially address concerns and provide support to leadership, addressing employee relations and organizational issues promptly.
  • Providing proactive advice and counsel to leaders while maintaining integrity with HR policy and procedure.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Solid organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Strong data analytics experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.


Preferred Qualifications


A combination of the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • HR certification (Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR)).
  • Experience working in HR systems.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law and regulatory requirements in Canada.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment.
