Food Service Manager

Bear Country Inn Ltd. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our food and beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates, analyzing data to inform operational decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for management.
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef, streamlining communication and ensuring seamless service.
- Establish work schedules, balancing staff needs with operational demands.
- Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff, guests, and management.
- Team player with a strong sense of organization and multitasking abilities.
- Provides awareness training to employees, fostering a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Recruits and supports newcomers and refugees, promoting diversity and cross-cultural understanding.
- Provides cultural competency training and awareness to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Supports visible minorities through hiring policies and diversity training, promoting a culture of inclusion.
