Job Title: Research Analyst

The Centre for Youth Bipolar Disorder (CYBD) is a clinical research program focused on youth bipolar disorder. Our team conducts intervention studies, observational studies, biological studies, and knowledge translation relevant to youth bipolar disorder.

We are seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst to join our clinical research team. The incumbent will report to the Director of CYBD and work on a number of research studies examining bipolar disorder.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working both autonomously and in a team of research staff to achieve study targets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting reliable diagnostic interviews with youth with bipolar disorder and their families.
  • Administering validated questionnaires and taking physical measurements.
  • Assisting with laboratory procedures and freezer storage of blood and saliva samples.
  • Liaising with investigators, study staff, and clinical staff to ensure consistency and quality of study procedures.
  • Monitoring project requirements and preparing research ethics board applications.
  • Participating in the collection, delivery, entry, and verification of data via REDCap.
  • Maintaining easily accessible records of participant contact and participant tracking.
  • Attending and participating in project-related meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in psychology, health sciences, or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant research experience.
  • Previous experience using standardized semi-structured interviews and questionnaires.
  • Previous experience with grant applications and submissions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
