Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Analyst to join our team at Metro Inc. as a key member of our IT Infrastructure department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our operations team, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of our server infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze infrastructure needs for our server systems.
- Develop and implement technical solutions to meet business requirements.
- Document and maintain technical documentation for our server infrastructure.
- Participate in various activities related to server infrastructure, including analysis, execution, and support.
- Provide technical support to users during the deployment of new changes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners within the company, translating their needs into technical requirements.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks by implementing controls and action plans to ensure smooth production deployments.
- Contribute to operational support under the responsibility of the IT Infrastructure department.
- Monitor and maintain our server systems in production.
- Perform proactive maintenance and troubleshooting of technologies under their responsibility.
- Participate in continuous improvement of services provided by the IT Infrastructure department.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues and incidents.
- Open tickets with equipment and service providers as needed, and ensure follow-up.
- Advise and assist other IT departments and users in a perspective of improvement and innovation.
- Participate in quality control activities for processes within the IT Infrastructure department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Windows and VMware server administration, cloud computing, and security.
- Strong knowledge of various operating systems (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022).
- Good knowledge of technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, Office365, System Center (SCOM), load balancer, and Azure AD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Bilingualism (oral and written) is essential.
- Availability to provide support outside regular business hours (24/7, as needed).
- May require travel between Metro offices (Laval, Montreal, Varennes, Ontario).
