Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Human Resources Officer to join our team at Golden Arrow Schoolbuses Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of recruitment and staffing, from identifying staffing requirements to advising managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and develop strategies to meet them
  • Prepare and post job notices and advertisements, and collect and screen applicants
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment, and review candidate inventories
  • Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates, and notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
  • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties, and recruit and hire staff
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, and provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, human resources software, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
