Castlegar Toyota is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Process and review accounts payable and receivables with precision and attention to detail.
  • Write and post journal entries of all types, assist with accounting controls and oversight, gather and organize data for performance reports, cash handling and payment processing, and general accounting and administrative duties as required.
  • Provide backup coverage for reception as needed.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous accounting experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • A high level of attention to detail, comfort with technology and IT systems, good communication skills, the desire to learn and expand your knowledge of the retail automotive industry, as well as the ability to prioritize work, stay organized, and meet regular deadlines.
  • Canadian Citizenship or Permanent/Landed Immigrant Status.
