Pharmacist Position in Community Pharmacy

Job Summary
The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services in a community pharmacy setting. This includes receiving, preparing, and dispensing medications accurately and timely, as well as ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
- Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplement inventory levels are adequate to meet patient needs.
- Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive interaction.
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.).
- Provide timely and positive resolutions to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues.
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary).
- Provide ongoing training for all new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPGs).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license are mandatory.
- Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism are required.
- Excellent leadership and performance management skills are necessary.
- Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans, are necessary.
- Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy Computer System, are a definite asset.
