Pharmacy Technician Role at Loblaw Companies Limited

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain patient and drug information files, ensuring confidentiality and security
  • Check pharmaceutical products prepared by other technicians or unregulated personnel, verifying accuracy and quality
  • Prepare prescription labels, affix labels to containers, and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, mix, and reconstitute medications, following established procedures
  • Price prescriptions, prepare receipts, invoices, and general filing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Stock medications and related supplies, rotating and monitoring stock levels, ensuring availability and quality
  • Maintain perpetual inventory system in Kroll, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality, adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Registered pharmacy technician certification and maintained registration with the pharmacy association
  • High level of professionalism, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of professional discipline, technical specialties, and related processes, including pharmacy operations and regulations
  • Ability to implement practical procedures of systems that are moderately complex, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Leadership and organizational skills, including ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service skills, including ability to handle cash accurately and provide exceptional customer service
  • Experience with Kroll an asset, but not required
  • Respect for the confidential and individual rights of customers, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and over the telephone with coworkers, supervisors, suppliers, physicians, and customers
