Nurse Practitioner

The Northern Health Authority is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a Primary Care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and health education.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and health education.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Experience in Primary Care or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working in a rural or remote setting.
- Knowledge of population health trends and strategies for prevention and health promotion.
- Ability to supervise and mentor other healthcare professionals.
