Event Coordinator Job Description

Sedgwick Strategies Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing conferences, meetings, and special events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Administer revenues and expenditures, assist in preparing financial reports, and develop sponsorship, partnership, or fundraising programs.
  • Event Planning: Promote conference and meeting services or special events, develop marketing and communication plans, and coordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details for special events.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, and develop policies and procedures.
  • Registration and Information: Develop registration systems and information materials, and plan schedules, goals, and objectives.
  • Research and Design: Research and design special events programs, and identify human resources requirements.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in event planning or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
