Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to join our team at A. O. Smith Corporation. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and collaborating on assigned product lines from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and articulate the company's distinctive competence and the product line's unique advantages to the sales force.
  2. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research with existing and prospective customers, assimilate customer and market requirements, and develop business cases for new products.
  3. Plan and implement product launches, manage the marketing mix post-launch, and perform product life cycle management to maximize product line profitability.
  4. Monitor market and technological developments and incorporate information into the overall corporate product program strategy.
  5. Conduct research and provide in-depth market, industry, and competitive analysis and positioning.
  6. Create detailed business, marketing, and product requirements, and collect market and product requirements from internal and external sources.
  7. Identify and document competitive threats, industry innovations, and other industry-related news.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferably in Business, Engineering, or a technical field.
  2. 5+ years of related work experience.
  3. 6+ years of Supervisory/Leadership experience.
