About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at SEVEN M CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our landscaping crew, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Train, and Supervise Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of landscaping professionals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for the maintenance of our clients' properties, including lawn care, tree trimming, and other landscaping services.
  • Manage Landscape Construction Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of landscape construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.
  • Resolve Work Problems and Provide Technical Advice: Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during projects, providing technical advice and guidance to staff as needed.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the landscaping industry.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficiency in the use of chain saws, small engine equipment, sod cutters, and tractor mowers.
  • Area of Specialization: Lawn care, tree service, grounds maintenance, landscape construction, and nursery or greenhouse management.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines. Must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Strong initiative, judgement, and team player skills.
