We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at GDB Landscaping Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our landscaping team, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities- Hiring and Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise a team of 5-10 landscaping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Project Management: Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscaping features.
- Estimation and Scheduling: Plan and estimate labour and materials required for projects, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to meet deadlines.
- Contract Administration: Tender and administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that all agreements are fair and reasonable.
- Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order and that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
- Materials Procurement: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring that all purchases are made in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Quality Control: Maintain work records and logs, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
- Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with team members, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date on project progress.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the landscaping industry
- Language: English
- Work Environment: Outdoors
