Payroll and Employee Relations Coordinator

At Canada West Ski Areas Association, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Employee Relations Coordinator to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilize your expertise in payroll management to support the growth and development of our organization.
About the RoleThis role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, as well as providing exceptional employee relations support to our team members. As a Payroll and Employee Relations Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries and concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Processing: Coordinate with our project managers and foremen to ensure accurate calculation of hourly wages, taxes, and mandatory deductions in compliance with provincial and federal regulations. Process bi-weekly payroll, audit daily timecards, and administer vacation pay and overtime.
- Employee Relations: Provide excellent customer service to our employees by responding promptly to their queries and resolving any issues that may arise. Support employee onboarding, engage in performance review process, and assist management team with administrative tasks.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
- A post-secondary degree or college diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience
- Previous experience in construction industry
- Minimum 3 years of experience and proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in Viewpoint (or similar payroll software for construction companies)
