Production Manager

Voyis is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to oversee all aspects of manufacturing and manage the technologists who build, test, and certify our products at our Waterloo facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage personnel, training, growth, hiring, and department organization for the manufacturing team.
- Develop and facilitate a training program for the production team.
- Represent the manufacturing team during new product introductions, engineering change notices, and initiatives.
- Implement new department processes relating to continuous improvement, 5S, and other industry best practices.
- Report on production metrics and initiatives.
- 3+ years' experience in Production Management at an electronics manufacturing facility.
- Engineering or Technologist certification in electrical, mechanical/mechatronics, or quality.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and their implementation.
- Experience with electrical assembly and testing, including soldering, connector assembly, wiring, etc.
- Experience facilitating technical training and developing robust processes.
- Exposure to ERP systems, like NetSuite.
- Experience with New Product Introductions, prototyping, and product development.
- Knowledge of IPC-620/610, Experience with PCBA testing, handling ESD-sensitive materials.
- Familiarity with embedded computing technologies, cameras and lenses, CNC machining and metal fabrication.
- Six Sigma belt designation.
