Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Event Operations Director to lead our team in providing top-notch services to clients. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of events and developing strategies to improve operational efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Operational Procedures
Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure smooth event execution.
- Conduct Performance Reviews
Conduct performance reviews to assess team members' strengths and weaknesses, identifying areas for improvement and providing feedback for growth.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory
Organize and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies to ensure they are readily available for use during events.
- Ensure Health and Safety Regulations Are Followed
E nsure health and safety regulations are followed at all times to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Negotiate with Clients
Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to meet their specific needs and preferences.
- Participate in Marketing Plans
Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote our services and attract new clients.
- Provide Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and resolving any issues promptly.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least 2 years of experience in event management or a related field.
A relevant college or CEGEP diploma from a program of 1-2 years, or equivalent.
A strong understanding of operational procedures and ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate with clients and provide customer service.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving goals and objectives.
Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken.
Availability to work a 40-hour week, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
Estimated salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
