Job Summary

Chef Mayo Grill Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to lead our kitchen team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports, including food order summaries and inventory reports.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Physically demanding with attention to detail.
